Hyundai CRETA Electric Launched: Two Battery Options, Four Variants, and Unmatched Features

Hyundai India has officially unveiled its first localized electric SUV, the CRETA Electric, offering four variants—Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence. Following this announcement, Hyundai's shares surged by 2%, trading at ₹1,854 apiece on January 2.
Performance Backed by Dual Battery Options
The Hyundai CRETA Electric provides two battery pack options to cater to diverse customer needs:
- 51.4 kWh (Long Range): Delivers a driving range of 473 km.
- 42 kWh: Offers a range of 390 km.
With an impressive acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds, the CRETA Electric ensures a thrilling drive for city commuters and adventure enthusiasts alike.
Futuristic Design and Cutting-Edge Technology
The CRETA Electric boasts an innovative design that sets new benchmarks in the EV segment:
- Pixelated Graphic Front Grille: Features an integrated charging port and LED tail lamps for a strikingly modern look.
- Active Air Flaps (AAF): Enhances cooling and aerodynamic performance by strategically managing airflow.
- R17 Aero Alloy Wheels: Equipped with Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) tyres to improve range efficiency.
Fast Charging and Color Options
Charging convenience is a highlight of the CRETA Electric:
- 58 minutes: Charge from 10% to 80% using DC fast charging.
- 4 hours: Achieve full charge using the 11kW Smart Connected Wall Box charger.
The SUV will be available in 8 monotone and 2 dual-tone color options, including 3 matte shades, ensuring there’s a style for everyone.
